Ward To Stay At Swindon?

Swindon Town appear to have done a U-Turn and now it looks as if Darren Ward could be set to sign a new contract at Town.

The Adver report this morning that the club have offered Ward a new two year contract with a third year option to keep him at the club and move into coaching.

Ward who is tipped to be club captain this season appeared close to making a switch to Brentford but with Town being short of older more experienced heads, they are now keen to hold on to the former Millwall man.

The Town board faced lots of criticism after Alan McCormack had left the club stating the offer on the table wasn't long enough and it appears Jed and co. are keen to avoid repeating the same mistakes.
