Holgate Sent Out On Loan
Swindon Town Striker Ashan Holgate has joined Newport County on loan.
The loan with the Conference South outfit will initially be for one month but could be extended.
Manager Dennis Wise has given Holgate permission to play in the FA Cup for Newport County.
Holgate noted when interviewed that he fears his Swindon career could be over and is desperate to impress Newport in the hope of earning a new contract at Swindon but should this be the end of his time at Swindon, Holgate hopes he will be able to place himself in the shop window.
Holgate was a fixture at Town under former boss Iffy Onuora but since the arrival of Wise, Holgate only featured in one game and that was against Brentford in the Carling Cup.
