Swindon's County Ground Gets A Facelift

Swindon's County Ground Gets A Facelift

Ok Swindon Town`s County Ground is old and dated but lets be honest. It`s great and it`s ours. We haven`t gone the way of an identikit soulless bowl like a lot of clubs have and we are one of the only grounds in the country that still has 4 decent floodlights. A lot of new grounds have replaced these with the lights along the roof of the stands look.

Town management have now worked to spruce the ground up whilst retaining its old school charm.

Recently Town have installed some snazzy digital pitch side advertising boards as well as a new HD screen inbetween the Arkells Stand and Stratton Bank. Apparently whether this is on a new scoreboard or on the new HD Screen we will also be getting replays during matches very shortly.

Jed & Co. haven`t stopped there. Remember all those missing seats in the Town End and Stratton Bank? Well they are missing no more. All those sections have now been filled with more seats to get more punters through the gates. The board have also invested in a new P.A System to replace the tinny one of old.

The best however is the addition of a bar to the Town End. Us Town End lot have had to be sober during games for far too long and now Jed has made sure we are thirsty no more by adding a bar to under the Town End. This facility should be open for the Bristol City match assuming Town get a licence before to sell booze.

To complete the works Town have created a new hospitality section near reception to get more local businesses and fans alike to enjoy the match day experience at the County Ground.
