Whalley Set To Return

Gareth Whalley is set to return to training this week with an aim of impressing manager Dennis Wise.

Whalley has been out of contention after suffering an ankle injury during pre-season training. Whalley who joined Town from Wigan prior to last season spent the end of last season on the bench after failing to impress then-manager Iffy Onuora.

Whalley will look to replace the departed Paul Ince as the senior midfielder in the Swindon Town squad.

Andy Gurney is expected to be out for atleast another month after having another operation on his troublesome ankle.
