Rhodes Comments On Swindon Move

Swindon Town's new loan singing Alex Rhodes has spoken for the first time about his arrival at the County Ground.

Speaking to The Official Website Rhodes said, 'Swindon are a big club and when I heard from our manager, Leroy Rosenior, that I could come down here I didn't hesitate. There's a difference in the divisions but that didn't matter to me - I just want to play games and do my best.'

'I have played games in midfield and up front for Brentford so I know what's required of both positions. Brentford played at Swindon earlier in the season and it was a good game. Both teams worked hard and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

'My main asset is my pace and hopefully I can score some goals and bring a new dimension to the team.

'Wherever you go you're always about to learn new things and obviously with the quality that we have here, under Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet, you're always going to learn a lot.'

'I know Andy Monkhouse, having spent some time together at Lilleshall. It's nice to see a few other faces - I also know 'Evo' - who was at Brentford for a while and knows a few of the lads there.

'If I'm included in the side then I'm hoping to have a good game. Hopefully I can score some goals and that's what I am here to do and I'm looking forward to it,' finished the striker.

sounds to me that DEnnis Wise and Gus Poyet were a major pulling factor in this , I am sure they will be for a lot of players !!

Monkhouse and Williams said the same thing, they came to Swindon because of Wisey and Poyet

With Wise and Poyet in charge you will be able to get some quality in your team.
