Managers Gift For Brezovan

Swindon Town's big hearted team of Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet have paid for Peter Brezovan's Mother to come over from Slovakia to be with the injured goalkeeper who speaks very little english.

Brezovan who broke his arm on Saturday against Grimsby has been trying to learn english however Wise and Poyet think by having his mother fly over from Slovakia it may help with the healing process.

'It's a massive blow for the club but it's important that he gets back quicker and fitter than expected. Gus and I have paid for his mother to fly over and she is with him now. We need to do what's right for him because he is one of the best goalkeepers about outside the Premiership.' Wise said.

In regards to the current goalkeeping situation, Wise noted the club are looking to bring in another goalkeeper as well as sign Brezovan to a permanent deal. 'We are trying to bring in another keeper for the interim because we only have one keeper here in Phil Smith. With regards to Peter we would like to sign him and we have first option on him. The sooner we sort it out the better really because it will be an added bonus if we can keep him here for a lot longer' Wise finished.

I bet he feels abit lost at the moment with out speaking English. Hope he recovers quickly.

Peter has done so well against the odds too. He will be missed at the back as he was such a presence.
