'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nile Ranger Thanks Swindon Town

Swindon Town striker Nile Ranger who was found not guilty earlier on today has released a statement via his official Twitter account.

Ranger thanked his legal team, friends and everyone who has supported him during the rape allegation that was hanging over the player.

Ranger also went on to say 'I would like to thank Swindon Town FC for giving me a chance to progress at a vital time. I cannot thank them enough got their support.'

Ranger signed a one year deal with a club option for a second last summer. Ranger has established himself as a fan favourite at Swindon Town and proved to be one of the best players in League One.

Swindon Town FC has thus far refused to comment on the outcome of Ranger's trial.

Ranger is currently out of action for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.
