Peacock: Wise Could Take Our Players

Swindon Town striker Lee Peacock has admitted that Dennis Wise could come back in January and take Town's younger players to Leeds United.

'I am sure Dennis will come back in for a couple of our younger lads. We all know who he is a big admirer of and from the player`s point of view no-one could blame them if they left.' Peacock said.

'But it won`t happen immediately. Dennis and Gus will be keeping their eyes on them either for the January transfer window or the end of the season.' Peacock stated

Peacock admitted although it may be a disctraction the team needs to focus on their primary task and that is promotion back to League One. 'We all have to keep doing what we have been and make sure we win promotion.'

'If we do that then the young lads will be in a great position to move on to bigger and better things, whether at Leeds or elsewhere.' Peacock finished.

I don't blame players if they did want to leave and get away from those idiots that run the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any chance of him taking some of the board with him....... Perhaps then Bill Power will come back, or someone like him. The Swindon board treat us with the 'Mushroom' theory.....kept in the dark and fed on sh!t.... boom boom
APG_STFC
I agree, the trouble is we continue to let them treat us in this way time and time again. The fans are the ones who keep this club alive without us there would be no club but we get treated with no respect.

There isnt much of the board left :) however to be fair who would take over the club if they left?
STFC_Editor
I know, but that still does not make it any easier to put up with the way the board treat people and that includes employees, fans etc etc etc.
red_gilly
It has always been this way - even years ago anyone came along with money the directors would club together and 'blackball' him when the investor wanted to have his say. We reckoned years ago they were scared of promotion, incase there little positions came under threat.
APG_STFC
apparently there was a leeds scout at the game today.
