Jack Stephens On Bench For Southampton

The future of Swindon Town landing defender Jack Stephens on loan again this season may have taken a hit after Southampton named the player on the bench for their Premier League clash against Liverpool this afternoon.

Town have made no secret of their desire to bring the Southampton player back to the County Ground after an impressive loan spell last year and it looks as if it may go down to the transfer window to see if Town get the player back.

Stephens did not feature in the 2-1 loss to Liverpool.
