Swindon Sign French Midfielder

Swindon Town have signed French midfielder Sofiene Zaaboub.

Zaaboub joins Town on a short term deal after receiving international clearance and will be available for Swindon Town`s FA Cup first round match against Carlisle United at the County Ground tomorrow.

Speaking to the official Swindon Town website, manager Paul Sturrock had glowing words about his frist signing since joining Swindon earlier this week. 'Sofiene has great attacking qualities and has now signed. He can put an awful lot of crosses into the box and will get into some goalscoring positions.

"He reads the game well and has good pace and provides competition for places which is what we need.' Sturrock finished.

Might put the crosses in but who have we got on the receiving end. Come back Sammy Parkin.

we got peacock and jutkiewicz both capable of getting their heads on the end of a decent cross tho

Could potentially be a very good signing. Sturrock has an eye for talent.

I wouldn't bank on Lee being around, unless things have changed, apparently him and Paul aren't on each others Xmas card list.

whats happened between them 2 in the past?? any ideas???

they have a good friendship, but peacock had to make way for better strickers in the champhionship, lee worked very hard for the team and sturrock applauded that, thats why he stayed in the team so long when he was nt scoring, but they do get on

Thanks Donnyowl - I was told there might be a problem there

I thought Peacock went to sturrocks fifty birthday party, wouldn't have gone if they did not get on.
