Local Youth Football Team Ticket Offer

On Saturday Swindon Town FC will be welcoming the Swindon Town Ladies Youth Teams who, together with their friends and families, will be watching the Bury match from the Arkells Stand. They will be bringing along 100 supporters, made up of guests, players, parents and Committee Members.

'On behalf of everyone at Swindon Town Ladies I would like to say a big thank you for all the help we have received this season from Swindon Town Football Club,' said Mark Willis, the Swindon Town Ladies Under 10`s Manager and Under 11`s Director Of Football.

'We approached the club to see what help they could provide us with and we are extremely happy with the response we got! The Centre Of Excellence kindly donated five sets of kit that have benefited the under 10's, under 11's and under 14's teams. The girls wear these kits with pride. We have also received another donation from the Football In The Community office of 15 brand new training balls which provides the girls with a ball each to use!'

The Swindon Town Ladies Youth Teams have over 150 girls already signed up and the numbers keep growing. There are 9 different girls teams, ranging from under 8's to adults. If you are interested in getting involved please contact John White on 01793 824470.

The girls under 10`s and under 11's teams will be showing off their football skills at half time when they will be playing a 8-a-side match. If you are in the crowd on Saturday please give them your full support.

'We are all very grateful to the club for giving us the opportunity to watch the girls play on the hallowed turf of the County Ground at half time during the Swindon Town v Bury game on the 25th November,' continues Mark. 'I can`t believe how excited the girls and parents are, they are all looking forward to supporting the team and fulfilling a dream that many have had. After all the negative things that have been said about the club it proves to me that Swindon Town FC are a club that cares about the community and for the future fans of the club.'

Swindon Town would like to offer the opportunity for other local youth football teams to enjoy a day out at The County Ground at a discounted rate.

For selected games STFC will make up to 300 tickets available, priced at just £1 per child and £10 per adult. Please note for every 10 children there must be an accompanying adult.

great to see this site and the club working so closely together, wish other clubs would follow the same lead, these independent sites aren't competition, they are complimentary and help foster good relations. Great image as well.....!

Thanks J, It is great that the club is open minded and look at us as someone who can help promote their product. The club sent me the image above as well as the press release. I hope some other clubs can follow and see that the sites are only trying to give free marketing and publicity to the club.
