Transfer Window Set To Shut

Swindon Town are hoping to sign at least 2 players before the transfer window slams shut at 5pm today.

Manager Paul Sturrock has been hoping to sign a striker and a midfielder but has not had any success as of 11am this morning.

Town now have just an hour to complete a deal or face the prospect of going short in midfield until the transfer window opens again on 1 January 2007.

There is a possibility that a player or players could be leaving the club today to make room for a new player coming in.

We will keep you up to date with any last minute news or signings at the County Ground today as well as bring you profiles of any new additions to the club this evening.

CORRECTION: There was some confusion as to when the transfer window shuts. We have been advised 5pm this evening and Not 12pm as originally stated. Apologies for any inconvenience
