Swindon Town Sign Fulham Midfielder

Michael Timlin has joined Swindon Town on loan until 1st January 2007.

Timlin is a hugely talented central midfielder; Timlin suffered a frustrating 2003/04 campaign after a back condition then a broken metatarsal effectively ruled him out for the whole season.

Timlin started his Fulham F.C. career as a left winger but was converted to central midfield by Fulham`s then Academy Director, Steve Kean. The switch paid remarkable dividends for the player as he made rapid through the Academy`s ranks and on to the international stage with the Republic of Ireland international football squad.

Timlin has also captained the Republic of Ireland under 21 side to victory in the Madeira Cup.
