Bowden To Get Swindon New Stadium

Swindon Town's new director Mike Bowden has come on board to help the club realise its dream and build a new stadium at the County Ground site.

Mike Bowden, is a former Director at NPower and has joined the Board with immediate effect. He will have special responsibility for the new stadium development and associated commercial relationships. He will also undertake the role of Joint Chairman Designate.

Bowden`s main focus is to ensure that the club remains in the borough of Swindon and more specifically at the County Ground site.

The club has been working with Swindon Borough Council for many months now in securing a new modern Stadium at the County Ground site that will enable the club to progress forward by raising money through non match day activities.

Many clubs such as Reading, Swansea and even rivals Oxford United have raised much needed funds through conferencing and hotel facilities that are part of their new stadiums.

Despite reports stating that Bowden has been hired specifically to move the club out of Swindon , Swindon Town Football Club have confirmed that this is 100% false and the current board are 'absolutely focused' on keeping the club in Swindon.

The club has always maintained this position. The club would only look to leave the borough if no alternative site was found in order to ensure the club has a prosperous future.

If anyone wants to contact Mike Bowden to discuss any of the reports that are circulating with regards to the County Ground redevelopment they are more than welcome to call him at the club - 01793 333714
