Monkhouse Returns To Swindon

Monkhouse Returns To Swindon

Swindon Town midfielder Andy Monkhouse has returned from a successful loan spell at League 2 side Hartlepool United.

Monkhouse scored Hartlepool's only goal against Mansfield Town on New Years Day.

Monkhouse has been instrumental from taking Hartlepool from the middle of the table to promotion contenders who now sit just 3 points behind Swindon Town.

Monkhouse has stated that he would like to remain at Hartlepool. An interesting fact is that any time Monkhouse has been in the side at Swindon or Hartlepool, neither team has lost.

Hartlepool boss anny Wilson is believed to be tabling a bid now to have Monkhouse return to Hartlepool on a permanent basis.
