Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock gave his thoughts on Town's 1-0 win over MK Dons, the 3rd round of the FA Cup and on current Transfer news after yesterday's game at Milton Keynes.
Match Reaction
'We would have been really disappointed not to have taken something from the game, but we showed honesty in our play,' said the manager.
'The players rolled their sleeves up and did really well. I was really pleased for our fans today who were out there in arctic conditions.
'I thought Lee Peacock was magnificent in both boxes and I couldn't fault any of the players at all.
'There have been games when luck has gone against us so we were delighted to have one where things went for us.
'The win has kept us in fourth and we have now taken seven points out of twelve. We need to get two points from every game now and we are aiming for that. The conditions that we have played in over the Christmas period have been hard and we have come out with some decent results and not too many injuries.'
FA Cup Third Round V Crystal Palace
'Hopefully we can go into the cup tie with Crystal Palace with some confidence now and we have two weeks before our next league game.'
Transfer Update
'I am talking to a player over the next few days. He is cup-tied so wouldn't be able to play at the weekend any how. I am looking to strengthen a few positions and a striker is on our list that's for sure,' said Sturrock.
