Zaaboub To Sign Swindon Extension

Swindon Town midfielder Sofiene Zaaboub is set to sign a contract extension to the end of the 2007-08 season.

The frenchman has become an instant fan favourite with the fans flying down the wings.

Zaaboub signed a short term deal with Town after impressing manager Paul Sturrock whilst he was at Sheffield Wednesday.

Speaking on his new deal Zaaboub said 'I am very happy to be here and to have 18 months.'

'I am happy Paul Sturrock did not forget me after leaving Sheffield Wednesday' Zaaboub said

Zaaboub has had trials all over the country but has not been able to secure a deal with a club. Zaaboub finally looks to have found a hope and his ultimate goal is to play in the Premier League.

Sturrock has also stated that he hopes to start discussions with other players in regards to new contracts in the coming weeks.
