Ajose In Team Of The Week (28/2/17)

Ajose In Team Of The Week (28/2/17)

Swindon Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Nicky Ajose in the three one victory over Coventry City at the weekend at the Ricoh Arena was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Ajose was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Swindon were another side to pick up three crucial points in Sky Bet League One, albeit at the opposite end of the table. The struggling Robins faced rock-bottom Coventry City, and Ajose`s brace was key in the 3-1 victory.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Ajose for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Connor Ripley (Oldham Athletic), Alex Whitmore (Morecambe), James Chester (Aston Villa), Cameron Burgess (Bury), Jamie Murphy (Brighton), Josh Wright (Gillingham), David Davis (Birmingham City), Jota (Brentford), Conor McAleny (Oxford United), Billy Sharp (Sheffield United), Nicky Ajose (Swindon Town).

Manager - Paul Cook (Portsmouth).
