Williams In Team Of The Week (28/3/17)

Williams In Team Of The Week (28/3/17)

Swindon Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Swindon Town in the one nil victory over Millwall at the weekend at the County Ground was enough to earn Luke Williams a place as manager of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Williams was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Millwall were on a 16-game unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One, chasing the top six, while Swindon are embroiled in a battle for survival at the other end of the table. However, it was the Robins who took the spoils, with Conor Thomas' stoppage-time winner securing a vital victory for Williams' men.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Williams for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Dean Lyness (Blackpool), Richard Duffy (Notts County), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Mark Beevers (Bolton Wanderers), Matt Dolan (Yeovil Town), Callum Camps (Rochdale), Josh Payne (Crawley Town), George Cooper (Crewe Alexandra), Ivan Toney (Scunthorpe United), John Akinde (Barnet), Chris Porter).

Manager - Luke Williams (Swindon Town).
