Lancashire In Team Of The Week (26/9/17)

Lancashire In Team Of The Week (26/9/17)

Swindon Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Oliver Lancashire in the two nil victory over Forest Green Rovers at the weekend at the New Lawn was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Lancashire was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'The EFL weekend began on Friday night, when Swindon ran out 2-0 winners against Forest Green Rovers in front of the Sky Sports cameras. Lancashire was awarded the Man of the Match honour, rounding off a superb defensive display with the crucial first goal at the New Lawn.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Lancashire for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Murphy (Bury), Danny Grainger (Carlisle United), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Oliver Lancashire (Swindon Town), Tony McMahon (Bradford City), Jodi Jones (Coventry City), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Jimmy Smith (Crawley Town), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Kieffer Moore (Rotherham United), Junior Morais (Peterborough United).

Manager - Chris Wilder (Sheffield United).
