Taylor In Team Of The Week (17/10/17)

Taylor In Team Of The Week (17/10/17)

Swindon Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Matty Taylor in the three one victory over Mansfield Town at the weekend at Field Mill was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Taylor was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Swindon recorded a fine 3-1 away at Mansfield Town, with the evergreen Taylor a key part of the Robins' victory. The left foot of the 35-year-old provided Amine Linganzi and Johnny Goddard with two golden chances, which were duly converted in a win which took the Robins to eighth.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Taylor for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Dan Bentley (Brentford), Leandro Bacuna (Reading), Ben Richards-Everton (Accrington Stanley), Chris Basham (Sheffield United), Matty Taylor (Swindon Town), Diogo Jota (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Luke Berry (Luton Town), Sammy Ameobi (Bolton Wanderers), Oliver Hawkins (Portsmouth), Tom Pope (Port Vale), Padraig Amond (Newport County).

Manager - Steve Cotterill (Birmingham City).
