Taylor In Team Of The Week (31/10/17)

Taylor In Team Of The Week (31/10/17)

Swindon Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Matty Taylor in the three nil victory over Port Vale at the weekend at Vale Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Taylor was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Also keeping it tight at the back were Swindon Town and, as well as an impressive shutout, the Robins struck three times at Port Vale. Taylor played a crucial part in that victory, as he not only weighed in with a goal but laid on an assist too from the full-back position.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Taylor for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Colin Doyle (Bradford City), Matty Taylor (Swindon Town), Joel Lynch (Queens Park Rangers), John White (Southend United), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), Kieran Dowell (Nottingham Forest), Jorge Grant (Notts County), Mark Duffy (Sheffield United), Sam Surridge (Yeovil Town), Mikael Mandron (Colchester United), Josh Parker (Gillingham).

Manager - Mark Robins (Coventry City).
