Support Swindon's Promotion Run

Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has asked the fans to show up in force during the clubs last 7 home games of the season.

Swindon has the highest home attendances in League 2 with gates around 7,500 but during recent games after Christmas attendances have dipped a bit.

Recent games against Macclesfield and Hartlepool have seen a smaller turn out at the gate. This may be partly due to people not being able to afford games after Christmas.

Town will play 7 more games at the County Ground this season and Town manager Paul Sturrock believes that with a huge crowd it would give the team a lift towards promotion back to League One.

'I hope that as the season unfolds then more and more will turn up." Sturrock said,

'We have seven home games left and if we were lucky enough to win those then we would finish with at least 82 points, which would be very close in terms of promotion.

'A big support at home could provide the big push we need.'

Town will play less attractive fixtures against Darlington, Chester, Accrington, Shrewsbury, Torquay and Mansfield before ending the season at home against Promotion rivals Walsall on the 5th May which could be a potential sellout.
