Swindon Confirm Westwood Signing

Swindon Town have completed the signing of defender Ashley Westwood from League 2 rivals Chester City.

Westwood who enjoyed time at Manchester United, Crewe Alexandra and Sheffield Wednesday will go straight into the squad to play against Stockport County over the weekend.

Town had been looking for someone to fill in for the injured Ady Williams since the departure of Charlie Comyn-Platt.

Westwood has been handed the number 29 and will stay at Town until the end of the season.
