Timlin Apolgises To Swindon Fans

Swindon Town midfielder Michael Timlin who is on loan from Premiership side Fulham has apologised for Town's pathetic showing Saturday against Stockport.

The midfielder told the assembled press after the game, 'A lot of fans travelled up here and it's a massive disappointment for us and for them.

'That's the biggest defeat of the season.

'We can only apologise to them because they`ve been superb.

'Since I've been here they've been fantastic home and away.

'We came here full of confidence and really did think we'd get something out of the game.' Timlin finished.

Many Town fans headed to the pub to watch the end of Reading's Premier League match and enjoy a couple of pints with about twenty minutes to go in the 3-0 defeeat.

It's good that a loan player has the balls to come out and apologise. It would have been nice for a permanent one to do it!!!

Still doesn't cut much ice with me whoever does it -they were cr@p and we now are likely to miss out on automatic promotion.

I would rather see action than words, anyone can apologise but I want to see it on the pitch.
