The most successful manager in the history of Swindon Town Football Club has agreed to return to Swindon on Thursday 19th April.
Lou Macari has kindly agreed to return to Swindon for 'An Evening With....,'. Lou will be answering questions about his time as manager of Swindon Town, his success over the years, his affection for the club, and his media career, and anything else supporters want to ask. This is one of those events that you will not want to miss.
Former Swindon Town defender, and now publican Phil King - who played under Macari, will be compere for the evening. The event will take place in the Crossways suite at the Moonrakers Public House on Cricklade Road at 7.45pm, there are 250 tickets available with 100 of these as standing only.
Tickets for the evening are priced at £10, and the evening will also include an auction of sporting memorabilia gathered from a wide range of different sports and football clubs. All Profits from the evening will go to TrustSTFC & the Red Army Fund.
TrustSTFC Fundraising officer Paul Wardell commented 'We decided upon doing 'An Evening with....' and it was decided that the man we would most like to get along was Lou Macari. We managed to get in contact and he was only too pleased to come to Swindon for the evening, the only problem we had was agreeing a date due to Lou`s busy schedule!
Wardell continued 'This is a fantastic coup for supporters to be able to meet and talk to Lou Macari and hear about how he took STFC from Div 4 to the verge of Div 1. Lou is classed as a legend by many supporters, we are extremely grateful to him for finding time in his busy schedule to come down to Swindon for the evening and help us to raise funds'
Tickets are expected to go quickly so fans are advised to book early.
Tickets will be available on matchdays from the TrustSTFC office at the County Ground or directly from the Trust website at http://www.truststfc.co.uk
A full list of auction items is also available on the same page
