Help Save Scarborough F.C

Help Save Scarborough F.C

Former Football League club Scarborough, who are currently playing in the Conference North are likely to be wound up at the end of the season.

Scarborough face a winding up order after failing to meet its CVA commitments and now the administrators have stepped in to liquidate the club after the administrators turned down a bid to renegotiate the current CVA agreement.

The club's directors say they will play this season's fixtures in the Conference North but Boro will not take part in competitive football in the 2007/08 season.

Scarborough were planning on selling their current stadium, the McCain Stadium for about £4M which would have cleared their debts in excess of £2M and build a new ground on the outskirts of Scarborough.

Scarborough were relegated from the Football League in 1999 and were relegated from the Conference last season due to their current financial crisis.

As Swindon Town fans we are all aware of what Scarborough fans must be going through at this moment in time. Swindon Town were almost wound up in 2001 and again in 2002 after spiraling debts left the club crippled.

We wish Scarborough F.C the best of luck in it's current crisis and hope that the fans of the Seadogs will have a club to support next season.
