Rovers: We Don't Want You!

Bristol Rovers have narrowed it down to two choices on where to play when the Memorial Stadium is redeveloped, Cheltenham and Swindon Town.

Bristol Rovers have got permission to start building a 18,000 all seater stadium on the current site of the Memorial Stadium and will have to re-locate whilst construction work goes on.

Bristol Rovers fans seem keen on a switch to Cheltenham whilst Swindon provides better facilities for Rovers.

Bristol Rovers staff had previously stated that he could see no better alternative site for the Rovers to play than at Swindon Town which already a approved Football League ground.

Although Swindon Town could do with the extra money, no one can forget the scenes during Swindon's clash with Bristol Rovers earlier in the season.

Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town fans hurled seats, coins and spat at each other as well as causing trouble in the Town Centre as well as the train station during the day, Do we really want this week in and week out? Would the council and police approve of this groundsharing?

Many fans have already said they would like to see our peaceful town be free of Bristol Rovers and see them play at elsewhere when the new stadium is built. Imagine the chaos that will take place should our friends from Oxford be promoted and they play Bristol Rovers in Swindon?

Bristol Rovers are currently running a survey on their official website which will give Rovers fans the chance to vote on where the club plays next season.

We suggest to VOTE CHELTENHAM!

Tough one - it could bring in much needed revenue for the club. I don't understand why they don't use Twerton again - it's local and they could build some temporary seating, surely.

Let Cheltenham have the problem, its not worth the hassle.
