'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Is The End Near For Boston?

Boston United face another crisis after being told they will not be able to play their final home fixture at Peterborough United's London Road ground should they be evicted from Staffsmart Stadium.

Boston United who are near bankruptcy something Swindon Town fans are familiar to, had hoped to play their final home fixture at neighbours Peterborough United should they had been evicted and then decide what to do in the Summer.

Peterborough owner Barry Fry told the media that the holding company would not allow the groundshare to take place.

'We first started discussions ten days ago and I've been going round the houses getting permission from the police, safety officers, doctors, and crucially the Football League.' Fry said

'But I've just heard the holding company have blocked it for reasons I cannot even fathom and I'm left gob smacked by it.' Said Fry.

If Boston are unable to hold their game against relegated Torquay United on Saturday, they face the very real threat of having their records expunged and the club will fold.

Fry went on to say that he would help any team that was in trouble. 'It doesn't matter if it's Macclesfield or Accrington Stanley, if anyone was in trouble and I could help out I would, and I can't believe these plans have been blocked.'

'You can't help but fear for the future of Boston United now.' Fry concluded.

Should Boston United go into Liquidation they would be the second club to fold, with Scarborough F.C already set to fold after failing to pay a CVA agreement and being served with a winding up order.
