Please Stay Off The Pitch

Swindon Town supporters will be advised to stay off the pitch should the club win promotion back to League One Saturday.

After the scenes at Leeds United this past weekend, the Football League will be making sure there is no repeat.

Any teams whose fans invade the pitch could receive a fine or even a points deduction by the Football League.

We would advise all fans to celebrate in the stands or outside the County Ground should the team win promotion.

I remember storming the pitch after our first Premier league win against QPR - I got about 50 yards and came face to face with a Rozzers Alsation - time to go back to the stand!!! The Promotion/demotion season in 1990 was the best though after our win against Blackburn in the play-off semi. Everybody stormed the pitch and the players came out into the North Stand to show their appreciation. There is no doubt of an invasion - fans have the right to celebrate.
Wellsy
With the Leeds debacle looks like the Football League are gonna get tough!
