Roberts To Sign 2 Year Deal

Striker Christian Roberts will sign a 2 year deal to remain with Swindon Town until the end of the 2008-09 season.

Roberts who arrived at the County Ground under old boss Andy King had been determined to repay the faith shown by Swindon when Roberts faced personal problems last season.

Speaking about his contract situation Roberts said, 'It is pretty much a done deal now. The contract is waiting there for me to put pen to paper, that is all there is left to do now.

'We have agreed terms and so it is safe I will be here next season.

'Obviously there was a bit of give and take from both sides but we met in the middle. A place both sides were happy at.
'I had my valuation of myself and the club had theirs and I think we have agreed a deal which both of us are happy with. It is a two-year contract.'
