Rovers Join Swindon In League 1

Rovers Join Swindon In League 1

Bristol Rovers will play Swindon Town in League One next season after beating Shrewsbury Town 3-1 at Wembley Stadium this afternoon.

Former Swindon Town midfielder Sammy Igoe scored the third goal for Rovers on the 92nd minute to ensure League One football next season for The Gas.

It is unknown whether Rovers will be playing at Swindon or Chippenham next season as the club redevelops the Memorial Stadium.

There could be an interesting scenario with Swindon Town fans being the away side at Swindon should Rovers share at the County Ground.
