Swindon Statement On Rovers Share

Swindon Town F.C have released a statement regarding a potential ground share with Bristol Rovers F.C.

Swindon Town Statement On Bristol Rovers Ground Share

The Board would like to reaffirm it's position with regards to any possible ground share with Bristol Rovers.

Before any commitment to a groundshare with Bristol Rovers is considered, there will be further, in-depth consultation with the Police in Swindon and Bristol, the Safety Advisory Group and Swindon Borough Council.

There will also be an open meeting at The County Ground where Town supporters will have the opportunity to air their views on the possibility of a groundshare.

If this ' possibility' progresses to a ' probability' the Club will take the advice of the Police, the Safety Advisory Group and the Council plus consult with the representatives of the Club's supporters and the local community before progressing the issue further.

Once again the subject of safety at football matches is paramount and the Board would like re-assure the supporters of the Club plus our County Ground neighbours that this will naturally take precedence over any potential commercial gain.
