With the League One fixtures released in just over 2 weeks we take a look at some of the eagerly anticipated fixtures for next season for Swindon Town fans.
Leeds United - THE BIG ONE, Yes Swindon will have the chance to play the former Yorkshire giants and get one over former boss Dennis Wise who thought he was too good for us. The former Chelsea hero has been getting plenty of abuse from the Elland Road faithful however it will pale in comparison to the abuse he will get at the County Ground.
Bristol Rovers - Well we don't know if we will see Bristol Rovers V Swindon Town twice this season at the County Ground with Swindon being the away team if a ground share does take place between the 2 sides. Our main local derby this sesaon and it is sure to be a heated affair.
Gillingham - We all know the history between the 2 sides and it is sure to be a heated contest when Town return to Gillingham. It kicked off big time outside of Priestfield last time the 2 clubs met there however the return fixture at the County Ground was a friendlier match.
Cheltenham Town - That small club from Gloucestershire will host Town/Cheltenham. A very good away day on the train however the ground is some distance from the rail station.
Brighton & Hove Albion - Town will be out for revenge after being elimiated from the League One playoffs during the 2003/04 season at Withdean 'Stadium'.
Yeovil Town - Another Loud and Proud away day surly beckons for this contest. Last time the 2 clubs played at Yeovil the Swindon Town fans put on a huge display with banners, stremers and flags to create a fantastic atmosphere.
Bournemouth - A good weekend in the land of fish and chips at the seaside. A good night out as well. Let's just hope this game isn't a midweek fixture.
Carlisle United - The long trek up to Cumbria is bound to be on a cold night in January. A game I for one won't miss.
