Swindon Draw Charlton In Carling Cup

Swindon Town will play INSERT TEAM HERE at STADIUM in the First Round of the Carling Cup it has been announced.

Last season Town were eliminated in the first round of the Carling Cup by Brentford after an exciting penalty shoot-out. The season prior to that Town slipped at the first hurdle again when they were defeated by Wycombe Wanderers in the first round. The Wycombe game would be Alan Reeves final game as he broke his leg.

Town won the Carling Cup (League Cup) in 1969 by Beating Arsenal at the old Wembley Stadium.

The game will be played during week commencing 13th August 2007.

Ticket information for Town`s Carling Cup clash with Charlton Athletic will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
