Sturrock's Delight At New Investment

Swindon Town boss Paul Sturrock has greeted the news of new investors in the club with delight as his search to bring in new players continues.

Speaking to the clubs official website at swindontownfc.co.uk Sturrock said, 'I met with the new investors on Tuesday night and I was very pleased with what they had to say. I was delighted to hear their short and long-term plans and we also spoke about what I have in place for the next few weeks and they were comfortable with that. They are committed to the Swindon Town cause, committed to me and they are very positive people.'

Sturrock will be happy with the latest developments at the club after stating he was waiting to hear on the level of investment which will help the former Scottish International mould his squad for the 2007/08 League One campaign.

Sturrock has long stated he had an A and B list and hoped new investment would ensure he didn't have to bring in players in from his B list.

Sturrock also states on the official website that he is close to bringing in 2 more players as he awaits the results of striker Adebayo Akinfenwa`s medical before officially unveiling him as the County Grounds latest signing.

I'll believe it when I see it. Paul Sturrock, prepare that B list.....maybe think about a C list...

Am I the only one that thinks something fishy is going on here? If we have major backers, why have they not come forward? As usual it's all a load of cr*p to cover up the fact that the Will's family still hold control of the club.

Obviously, I am - no one else has a comment.
