Stowell Departs

MIKE Stowell has returned to Championship outfit Leicester City after spending just two days as Swindon Town's new goalkeeping coach.

Stowell joined Paul Sturrock's squad for the start of pre-season training on Monday before performing a u-turn to take up the post of goalkeeping coach at the Walkers Stadium.

The former Wolves stopper was assistant manager with the Foxes last season.

Sturrock said: The timing is unfortunate and we are disappointed to lose him but we will move on and look to make a swift appointment to replace him.
