Merson To Play In Legends Match

Former England Forward/Midfielder Paul Merson is expected to play a part in the Swindon Town legends match in early August.

Merson who was most famous for his time Arsenal had also played at Brentford, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa and Portsmouth before becoming manager at Division One side Walsall.

At one time in his career when Arsenal sold Merson to Middlesbrough for 5M he became the most expensive transfer to a non-Premiership side at the time.

Merson also played for Englands national side as well as England B and England`s Under 21's.

Merson had recently been working as a Television pundit for Sky Sports as well as playing at Tamworth.
