Holgate Weymouth Bound?

Former Swindon Town striker/midfielder Ashan Holgate could be set to join former team mates Jonathan Stewart and Scott Doe at Weymouth.

Holgate had been hoping to earn a contract at Macclesfield Town prior to Paul Ince`s departure to MK Dons. Holgate Stated over the weekend he had hoped to follow Ince to MK Dons but he has yet to hear from his former boss and team mate.

Holgate had also been on trial at Yeovil Town and had discussions with Gillingham to re-join Iffy Onuora and former team mate Aaron Brown however nothing transpired on that front.

Holgate it is believed is in discussions with Blue Square Conference Premier side Weymouth about a deal with the club prior to the season kicking off in three weeks time.
