Easter's Swindon Move Unlikely?

Swindon Town look as if they will miss out on Wycombe striker Jermaine Easter according to Wycombe Managing Director Steve Hayes.

Swindon are in desperate need of a striker after playing 2 games and not scoring from open play. Town's most prolific goal scorer Barry Corr is out of action for at least another month with a back injury.

It was revealed last week that Town had made an enquiry for Wycombe superstar Jermaine Easter however Wycombe Managing director Steve Hayes told Sturrock to return with an official bid as the star striker has only a year left on his current contract.

MK Dons are also believed to have made and enquiry along with a host of Championship sides.

Wycombe will not let their talisman striker go cheap after MK Dons sold start striker Izale McLeod to Charlton for £1.1M. Wycombe are believed to want a bid of around £750,000 and it is unsure if Swindon`s new owners will open their wallet to that extent.

Speaking to the Western Daily Press, Hayes said that he does not believe Milton Keynes or Swindon meet the strikers ambitions with MK in the same division as Wycombe and Swindon have only just been promoted back to League One.

It is believed that if Easter leaves Wycombe it will be for a Championship side.
