Sam Parkin To Miss Swindon Return
Luton Town striker Sam Parkin will miss Saturday's match at Swindon Town due to recurring ankle problems it has been revealed.
Parkin left Luton's Carling Cup Round One match against Dagenham and Redbridge in the 68th minute on Tuesday night with an ankle injury.
Parkin subsequently had a scan on the injury and it has been revealed that there is no break on the ankle that was repaired surgically last season, and he will likely miss 2 to 3 weeks of action.
It is thought the injury was caused due to the foot hitting the ground hard repeatedly after not playing for so long due to the injury.
Parkin had been really keen to play against his former club after leaving at the end of the 2004/05 season for Championship side Ipswich Town. Parkin had yet to play at the County Ground since his departure.
