Parkin To Have Third Ankle Operation

Former Swindon Town striker is facing atleast another month on the sidelines after finding out he will have to have another operation on his troublesome ankle.

Parkin left Luton's Carling Cup match against Dagenham and Redbridge on Tuesday after experiencing problems with his ankle.

Luton boss Kevin Blackwell gave fans an update on the former Swindon Town strikers status.

'Sam will have to go in next Thursday to have his ankle cleaned out again so that is the third operation he will have on that leg.

'I am hoping it will still be two to three weeks but we will just have to see how he fairs.'

Vital Swindon Town wishes Sam all the best as he looks to overcome the latest set-back which must be frustrating for the player.
