Fallon Talks About Leaving Swindon

Rory Fallon has broken his silence over his transfer from Swindon Town to Swansea City by thanking the fans.
Fallon who after weeks of speculation, finally completed his transfer to Swansea for a rumoured £300,000 has now spoken about the transfer, and what it means for him and his future, as well as the future of Swindon Town.

“There’s been a lot to think about but in the end I would have been stupid to turn this down.

“It is going to be tough to get in there (Swansea’s side) but then I think that’s a good thing, it spurs you on.

“I honestly believe it’s a good move for me and a good move for the club.

“Swindon clearly get some money and the gaffer will hopefully have the chance to bring in a new face or two.

Fallon commented that he felt confident that his goal's can be replaced with the personel who are already at the club. “I’m moving on but no one man makes a team. It’s not about Rory Fallon, it’s about Swindon Town.

“The lads at Swindon are a great bunch and there are strikers there like Lee Peacock and Jamie Cureton that I’m confident will score goals.

“I scored 14 goals but I was only as good as the service I got. It’s about everyone contributing.”

“I could have done that and got a big signing on fee but that would have been the selfish route to take.”

Rory went on to thank the Swindon Town supporters who have stuck by the 23 year old New Zealander, even during the testing times late last season, where it appeared Fallon's future was away from the County Ground

“I’d just like to say thank you. With their support I’d like to think I’ve proved a few people wrong who had written me off.

“I never stopped believing in myself and I’d like to think the fans were the same. I just hope the season ends happily for Swansea and for Swindon.”

As Fallon now rides into the sunset, Deputy Chairman Mark Devlin has said that Iffy will be given some of the transfer money to look for a replacement for Fallon.
