Brezovan Staying At Swindon For Now

Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock has dismissed speculation regarding the future of goalkeeper Peter Brezovan who had a trial at Everton this week.

Rumours have been circulating that Town's takeover has hit a brick wall and that the club are actively looking to sell Brezovan to clear the clubs debts including an overdue 900,000 CVA bill that was due in July.

Sturrock states that Everton called him enquiring about Brezovan and that he would not stand in a players way to advance his career.

Sturrock has also stated that any move could not become official until the January transfer window re-opens.

Speaking to the media Sturrock said, 'Let me put the record straight. Brezovan is going nowhere at this minute in time.

'As far as I am concerned he is competing for the first team jersey. We have been made an offer of training for them to have a look at him.
