Power To STFC 'Take The Money'

Power To STFC 'Take The Money'

Former Swindon Town investor and leader of the Fans' Consortium Bill Power has urged the board of Swindon Town to take the Portuguese consortiums money to save the club.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser Power said, 'If these Portuguese people are here and have the money then I would plead with the club to take their money to save Swindon Town.'

Reports have surfaced that the club have yet to pay the players wages this month and have asked Sir Seton Wills for urgent funds to fulfill the club's immediate financial obligations.

Rumours have surfaced that the proposed takeover by Best Holdings have hit an impasse and asked whether Power would still get involved at Swindon Town Power replied, 'I love Swindon Town and of course I am interested and am willing to speak to the club.

'We have not got £6million like the others (Best Holdings) have but we are still here and want to keep the club running'

Fans are anxious for a resolution to the current financial crisis as the club have got off to a great start in League One and fans would like to stop worrying about the future of their club.
