Blackburn Set For Morecambe Return?

Blackburn Set For Morecambe Return?

As predicted by Vital Swindon Town Chris Blackburn could be set to make a loan switch back to Morecambe.

Almost predictably a loan move back to Morecambe always seemed on the cards for Blackburn after manager Paul Sturrock noted that he is looking to drop 8 players off the wage bill.

It is unknown whether the deal would become permanent in the future or whether Sturrock sees the player as a development player and will only send him out on loan.

Blackburn arrived at the County Ground in the summer after helping Morecambe gain promotion to the Football League last season.

Blackburn turned down a big contract at Morecambe to move to League One Swindon Town after helping Morecambe to promotion.

The Swindon Advertiser is noting that Sammy McIlroy the manager at Morecambe is aware of the financial situation at Swindon and is keeping an eye on whether to bring Blackburn back. Morecambe currently have some injuries at defence and Morecambe fan favourite Blackburn could fill the void left by those injuries.

He is well respected in Morecambe and can see him going back there on a permanent deal
