Gus Poyet To Join Tottenham?

Former Swindon Town assistant manager Gus Poyet could be set to join Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

Sevilla coach Juande Ramos is the favourite to take over for the sacked Martin Jol at Spurs and early reports indicate Ramos wants Poyet to be his assistant.

Poyet is currently assistant manager at Leeds United following Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet`s switch to Elland Road less than 6 months after taking over at Swindon Town last season.

It is just over a year since Wise and Poyet turned their backs on Swindon Town and their fans to relegate Leeds to League One for the first time in their history.

Leeds have got off to a flying start this season despite starting with a 15 point deduction. Leeds have yet to lose a game this season under Wise and Poyet`s guidance.

cant help feeling bitter towards him , hopefully wise will struggle without him

i reckon wise will continue to do o.k without him, Gus has done nothing that i wouldn't do if it meant giving me opportunities to better myself and probably earn a bigger wage packet - got to look after number one at times.
