Swindon Town Injury Update

Swindon Town's defenders are suffering from more injuries as three have yet to train this week whilst goalkeeper Phil Smith gets set to go under the knife.

Town defenders Chris Blackburn, Hasney Aljofree and Jack Smith have yet to train this week whilst Jamie Vincent has been ruled out of Saturday`s derby against Bristol Rovers at the County Ground.

Aljofree suffered a slight hamstring strain against Leeds United on the weekend, however he is expected to feature this weekend. Jack Smith suffered a similar injury prior to the Leeds match after returning against Wycombe just over a week ago from a dislocated shoulder.

In better news defender Jerel Ifil has recovred well from his hairline shin fracture and will likely play Saturday.

Manager Paul Sturrock noted in his weekly Tuesday address that goalkeeper Phil Smith will undergo his operation to fix a hernia which is likely to keep him out atleast 3 weeks.
