Swindon Confirm Starnes Departure

Swindon Town F.C have tonight confirmed that Martyn Starnes has resigned as acting chief executive of the club as rumoured last week.

Starnes was rumoured to be one of the people who was upset that talks with Andrew Fitton broke down and was one of the key people who wanted the talks to continue.

Starnes stated that he hopes that Andrew Fitton's takeover of the club goes through soon and that he will bring in his own management team.

With Fitton sure to bring in his own men, Starnes felt now was the right time to leave the County Ground.

I personally have met Martyn several times and he has always been respectful to myself as well as honest.

We at Vital Swindon Town wish Martyn Starnes the best of luck in the future.
