'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fans: We Want Our Swindon Back

The message was loud and clear from the County Ground faithful, 'Give us our club back' as Town fans held up red cards prior to our 3-0 thumping to Brighton.

Swindon Town fans face a long night that could indicate whether we have a game against Hartlepool next weekend or not.

It is believed that unless a deal is hammered out between the Swindon Town board and Andrew Fitton tonight, the club could face extinction next week.

Today Town fans along with Brighton fans stood up for the first minute of the game with red cards that said "Fitton 1" and "GO NOW" on the back.

After Brighton scored the first goal in their 3-0 battering of Town today, fans chanted "Stand up if you want Fitton" and about 75% of the ground stood up in surreal scenes at the County Ground.

The mood was hostile at times with plenty of police drafted in to ensure tempers did not flare. Town fans would chant "We want our Swindon back" as well as "Sack the board" throughout the game.

A large group of fans gathered at the back of the Arkells Stand following the 3-0 massacre on the pitch to let the current board know their views.

We will try to keep fans up to date with all the latest in this story that will decide the future of the club.

This is beyond a joke now with the board - are they so thick skinned or heartless to know the time has come for them to hold their hands up and admit defeat... or has the greed been the motivation for the contempt they have shown to the club and its lonf suffering supporters.
